Having completed a voyage across the Atlantic, the Tall Ship Pelican made a short stop in Falmouth this week before heading back to its homeport in Weymouth.

Sail Training International has confirmed that Falmouth is the first host port to be signed up for the Iberian Tall Ships Regatta 2014. The tall ship Europa made a handsome sight as she ran under full sail from Falmouth this week. Next year the bark, which makes regular trips to Antarctica, will be spending time in Australia and New Zealand.

We’re offering the chance for eight young people, aged 16-25, to sail aboard the Dutch tall ship Gulden Leeuw. Departing from Falmouth in July, the ship will sail the English Channel and North Sea to Denmark, Sweden and Germany.
